Chinese New Year Celebration

The goal of this Chinese New Year Celebration is to build students’ understanding about togetherness in welcoming the Chinese New Year. This year, +we celebrated Chinese New Year by cooking “Cakwe” together. School provided the ingredients and teacher taught the students how to make the Cakwe dough. After that they cut the dough and the teachers helped them fry it. After frying the Cakwe, all of the students and the teachers sat together to have the potluck party and ate the Cakwe that they had made before.

Music Appreciation Week & SBGG Got Talent

Music Appreciation Week provides an opportunity to students to exhibit their talents. In this event, students who join the elective programs perform their talents. In the meantime, SBGG Got Talent enables students to have an opportunity to feel the spirit of competition and encourages them do and give their best. The spirit to be the best is highly expected in this challenging event.

Spring Cleaning Day

February is identical to month of kindness. One simple act yet meaningful is to get involved in Spring Cleaning Day. Students of SBGG eagerly participated for Spring Cleaning. Everyone brought the cleaning equipments and they were all ready to work together to make the event successful. Students as well as teachers worked hard hand in hand to clean up without hesitance of making their hands dirty. The students were burst in happiness to enjoy their “Spring Cleaning Day”. It was a fun and exciting event.

Math and Science Week

In Math week, we showed history of Math and provided an interactive board activity in which students had to solve some problems. In addition, we had fascinating Math games such as Taugrams, Shopping Games, Sudoku, Rubrics and Treasure Hunt. In Science Week, Talking about Science is always a euphoria as the “Science Fair” is always being the peak event. Various kinds of experiments were conducted and visitors were full of excitement as they were involved in the experiments. Some of the experiments were water density tower, Boo bubbles, hamster power, diaper power experiment, jar compass, etc. Prior to this Science fair, a very attractive display was made by a Science team, picking the topic of “Nutritious versus Junk food” and “World of Nature”

IMSO 2015 Silver Medalist

Congratulations to Keisha Ratu Alifia who won SILVER MEDAL at the 12th International Math and Science Olympiad (IMSO) 2015 held in Thailand from 1 November to 7 November 2015! The long and tough training, selection and preparation for the Olympiad paid Keisha off handsomely in the end. Overall, two hundred fifty students from 20 countries participated in the Olympiad which was held in Pathumthani Province, Thailand. Upon returning to Indonesia, Keisha and other Indonesian students and accompanying trainers were greeted by some VIPs from the Ministry of Education and Culture including Anies Baswedan, the Education Minister himself. Again, congrats Keisha!
